ESOHE OLAJIDE - PARTNER
Esohe Olajide is a legal practitioner with over 19 years demonstrated experience in commercial law practice, she specialises in negotiating multi party contacts, advising foreign businesses on setting up operations in Nigeria and Ghana, and protecting their intellectual property (IP).
Prior to joining the firm, she previously worked in leading law firms proving a broad range of legal services and has drafted and reviewed legal documents while advising on various aspect of law inclusion intellectual property, commercial law, trade and investment law, corporate law, labour law, advertising and privacy law.
Over the years Esohe has advised several international brands and assisted with managing their IP in Ghana. and has brought her experience as a WIPO and ARIPO trained IP expert to hear on her work. She has also advised some major social media platforms, a major international football league, and other key players in entertainment and sports on data privacy, advertising and marketing regulations in relation to their advertising and campaign in Ghana.
She has contributed extensively to global publications, including Chambers and Partners Global Practice Guides on Advertising and Marketing, the Global Advertising Lawyers Alliance, books on Data Privacy, Advertising and Sweeptakes Law respectively. Her body of work includes “International Trade Law in Africa; An Introduction”, peer-reviewed research in the NIALS Journal of Intellectual Property” and widely read analyses on Ghanian trademark and protection of geographical indications. She is also a published author who has contributed significantly to university law research and she has delivered engaging lectures to LLB students on International Trade and Investment Law, in addition to to supervising and grading examinations.
Esohe in passionate about IP being used as a tool to drive international trade and development on the African continent and encourages IP and data privacy advocacy.
