Mercy Elvis-Asia graduated from the University of Ibadan and the Nigerian Law School with second class upper division in 2010 and 2011 respectively.
Prior to joining George Etomi & Partners, she worked in the law firm of Chief Rotimi Williams Chambers (FRA Law) where she actively participated in both the commercial and litigation units of the firm. Since joining George Etomi & Partners, she has focused more on advisory and disputer resolution.
Mercy combines her high analytical skills with an in-depth knowledge of the law to achieve the best possible outcome for her myriad of clients which cuts across all sectors of the economy. Mercy is an astute advocate, negotiator and researcher.
She has appeared before all levels of Court, Statutory Tribunals, Arbitration panels and Mediation Centers across the country where she has represented both individuals and corporate organizations on diverse issues ranging from Family, oil and gas, banking, aviation, health, Real Estate, Intellectual property law etc. She has also acts as consultant to a number of corporate bodies on many issues such as Labour, Corporate Governance, and regulatory requirements specific to the relevant industry.
Mercy also plays a very active role in the Debt Recovery Unit of the firm where she often deploys her unparalleled understanding of the law and practice and ability to think outside the box to effect the recovery of huge sums of money from otherwise recalcitrant debtors.
She has also written several articles where she offers insights into knotty legal issues.
